King Christian IV

History

Hotel Christian IV dates back to 1986. The name of the hotel refers to the Danish King Christian IV, who built the beautiful Rosenborg Castle, located adjacent to the hotel. The premises were meant to link together the 200 years old houses facing The King's Garden, the Rosenborg Castle and the district's newly developed buildings.

The hotel has been independantly owned and operated since 2004. The outcome is an intimate and charming hotel to which individual service is essential. Several of our guests have become regulars.

Hotel Christian IV has a guest book which clearly testifies, by reading the entries, the cosy atmosphere and the courtesy of the staff.

Only few minutes walk from Strøget, Amalienborg Castlethe Royal Theatre and Nyhavn.

The hotel boasts 42 modern and comfortable rooms in Danish decor - all with private bathroom, telephone and cable TV. Furthermore a bright breakfast room and a lounge area with TV and Computer.
