The largest shopping area in Copenhagen is located around Strøget in the very heart of the city. You will find plenty of shops - from budget chain stores to some of the worlds' most exclusive design stores. The street is 1,1 km long and stretches from the Town Hall square to Kongens Nytorv. Rundetårn - The Round Tower
The Round Tower is Europe's' oldest working observatory, used to look at the stars since 1642. When King Christian IV built The Round Tower Denmark was a well known country in the astronomers' world thanks to the astronomer Tycho Brahe. When he died in 1601 King Christian IV wished to continue Brahe's research with a university observatory, which leads to the building of the Round Tower. Today, the tower is used very often by amateur astronomers and many other guests enjoying the spectacular view over Copenhagen.
Statens Museum for Kunst - The Danish national gallery
Not very far from the hotel, in Sølvgade, you will find the Danish national gallery. Statens Museum for kunst, the Danish national gallery, is the only place in Denmark, which features 700 years of Western art and cultural history under one roof. Consequently a visti to the museum means an artistic encounter between classical, modern and contemporary art, just as the museum building in itself represents a fusion of new and old.
