Terms of Payment
Unless otherwise specified, the stay must be paid in full (100%) upon departure. All non-refundable bookings are prepaid at the time of the reservation.
Hotel Christian IV reserves the right to charge a deposit of 50% of the total booking amount for bookings during the summer season, religious holidays, major corporate events or reservations made as a group booking. The deposit is due 30 days prior to arrival and if the deposit isn't paid duly, Hotel Christian IV will have full right over the reservation.
For online bookings made through this website the stay must be guaranteed with a credit card. Verification of the card is made by Teller. Verification of the card may result in an amount being reserved on the credit card, however, money will not be charged unless clearly stated.
Prepaid non-refundable bookings are charged fully, at the time of the reservation. Changes to a prepaid reservation is not possible unless it happens within 24 hours of the time of booking. If the stay is cancelled or shortened thereafter, no refunds will be given.
Cancellation of individual bookings
Cancellations of flexible bookings must be made in writing by e-mail at least 24 hours prior to arrival (2pm local time the day before arrival). Alternatively by clicking the link in booking confirmation e-mail.
Please note that if you have made a reservation for multiple rooms and wish to cancel all rooms, the individual room reservations must be cancelled separately.
If the cancellation deadline is exceeded or the guest fails to appear, payment for the first night will be charged. Please note that no-show reservations are automatically cancelled.
Cancellation of group bookings
Cancellation of group bookings are subject to individually negotiated terms and conditions. Please consult your booking confirmation to see the specific cancellation conditions. All cancellations and reductions have to happen in writing.
If the stay is prevented due to force majeure (natural disasters, strikes, war, riots etc.), Hotel Christian IV is not liable for disrupted or cancelled stays.

Disputes and complaints
We want you to be satisfied. If you have experienced any problems with your reservation and wish to complain, please contact us by email at reception(a)hotelchristianiv.dk. If you are unhappy with the solution we can offer, you can file your complaint with www.hrt-ankenaevn.dk or www.ec.europa.eu/odr.
